The MAG UAS training services include a variety of platforms, including DoD groups 1-3. UAS Services Overseas
PROBLEMAn intergovernmental organization needed the ability to monitor a border for forces that might be trying to flee or illegally enter the country. The customer wanted the ability to look into thick forested areas to find individuals looking for cover and to monitor gold mines in the region to deter theft.
SOLUTIONWorking with the UAS manufacturer, MAG deployed a team of pilots, sensor operators, and mechanics to operate a medium altittude UAS that has cameras, heat signature and night vision technology to cover ground that the customer could not reach.
- The customer stated that UAS operations had an immediate effect and proved to be an effective deterrent and helped them to cover more ground.
- Within 30 days of start of operations, a MAG sensor operator picked up images of people in danger after a boat capsized in a local lake. Thanks to the alert, the customer was able to intervene and 14 people were rescued.
